Our practitioners

Experienced hands, unhurried care.

Two licensed acupuncturists, one small Bellingham clinic, and a team that knows your name.

Scott Paglia, L.Ac.

Scott Paglia, L.Ac.

Licensed and board-certified acupuncturist · Private practice since 2000

Ask Scott why he practices this medicine and he'll tell you about a particular look on a patient's face: the smile of someone who finally feels at ease in their own body again.

When Scott opened his doors in 2000, he found himself treating people who had already been everywhere else. That shaped his practice. He loves a challenge, and the more complex the case, the more interested he becomes. He has continued his training with teachers including Dr. Tan, Dr. Jimmy Chang and Bob Doane.

“When the nervous system quits sounding the alarm, people shine.”
Ryan Barber, L.Ac.

Ryan Barber, L.Ac.

Licensed acupuncturist · Oregon College of Oriental Medicine, 2023

Ryan was born in Lingít Aaní (Southeast Alaska) to a family of mixed British and Lhaq'temish ancestry. During school he interned at Providence Cancer Center and the Quest Center for Integrative Medicine, where he loved seeing patients become themselves again, with more comfort, easier movement and a clearer mind.

Before joining the clinic, Ryan was Scott's patient.

“I've been his patient. I've seen this medicine work for me and for others.”
